PowerGame the outdoor Basketball surface

PowerGame has been selected by FIBA, the worlds governing body for Basketball as the official surface for their FIBA 33 tour around the world.

FIBA 33's is a 3 on 3 version of the game, played on a 1/2 court, and attracts top players and huge crowds to outdoor venues in some of the world's most glamourous locations. It has already been included in the Youth Olympic Games, and is destined for further expansion.

PowerGame has proven to the the perfect surface for this mobile Basketball road show as it is a highly portable sports surface, offers great ball bounce and also shock absorption to comfort players.

Aluline Goals

The Aluline Multisport goal is designed for use as a goal for Futsal, Hockey and Handball.

With a 3 x 2 m size, and a regulation 80 mm square profile, the goal meets all regulations for these sports at the highest level, and is the only goal in the region to do so as other system are either a smaller size or use a round profile.

The goals include a safety recessed net hook system, and a 50 mm mesh netting to allow use with smaller ball sizes.

They also incorporate a unique folding goal frame (patent pending) to greatly reduce toal movement. With this design, the sides fold in and the rear folds up for maximum storage efficiency, but equally importantly they all interlock when in play to provide the most solid goal available anywhere in the world with minimal rock and movement.

These goals have been distributed in all states and around the South Pacific and are proving to offer a high performance safety goal for users.

Architectural BIM Suport Increased

RMA has worked hard over recent months to increase the amount of support we can provide for project architects and designers, and can now announce that our resource library includes Building Information Modeling files in Revit format that can be downloaded to ease the work involved in facility design.

These files can be downloaded for free from our architectural section, and allow 3D modeling and even 4D project time line scheduling. The drawings can be manipulated to scale to most buildings, and we are of course available to provide additional information or assistance if required.

The Revit files cover many of our Basketball and Dividing Curtain systems, and we can also provide additional technical collateral to further assist engineers in their calculations, and architects in their specifications.

We hope that this will be of benefit to designers across the region, and would welcome feedback and suggestions on how we can further improve the information we provide.

PowerGame, the world’s most technologically advanced outdoor sports surface has again raised the bar by now including an innovative new texturised finish to their already impressive surface.

These posts are made from an extremely strong 75 mm steel profile and have a solid 18 mm steel goal with net loops welded on.

They are hot dip galvanised to ensure non-rust performance, and then also powder coated for additional protection and visibility making them the most durable posts on the market.

The Essentials multisport posts offer schools a unique combination for outdoor courts. A low cost system, these posts allow play for Volleyball, Badminton, Newcombeball and Tennis all on the one post pair set up.

Using the Aluline profile, the posts are extremely strong but light enough to easily set and strike.

The sliding collar allows for infinate height adjustment for a multitude of sporting codes, and greatly increase the flexibility of courts for PE staff.

Aluline Netball Posts

The Aluline Netball post system has met with rave reviews since it was released earlier this year.

Light and easy to install or remove, the sturdy custom aluminium extrusion with internal reinforcing still means there is less post flex than in steel systems, but without the OHS handling issues.

Post stability has been improved thanks to the innovative Wedgelock sleeve system and anti rotation collar, and much has been said about the goal itself. The only Aluminium goal on the market, and one of the strongest ever seen.

With the top mount design, the goal has no supporting struts so a full height post pad can be used as required by the rules. The net is held in place by a milled net holding system, which also greatly increases the strength of the system and increases the shooter visibility of the goal.

The Aluline system is designed to be highly mobile, incredibly stable and strong to suit all levels of competition and facility.

Queensland School Certifications

RMA has become aware that Queensland's Department of Education has introduced an additional certification process for Basketball systems to be installed in their Public schools to improve the quality of systems in these facilities and ensure student safety from homemade systems out of back street workshops.

While the systems RMA provides has already been installed in many private schools and other community facilities in that state, various models were again extensively scrutinized and tested for safety, loading and endurance for at least a 25yr life. All systems passed with flying colours as was expected.

The models approved include the BBESO, BNB24, BBESR, BBESW and Stadia models.

The advanced design and FIBA certifications now mean that this range offers the most advanced and high performance Basketball structures approved for use in the Queensland Public School system, and for the first time means that Queensland’s public schools can install competition level basketball structures in their facilities.

Forsyth Barr Stadium - Dunedin

RMA was delighted to assist with the sports equipment supplied to the University of Otago's Forsyth Barr facility in Dunedin, New Zealand.

Far and away the most advanced stadium in the South Island, the facility includes FIBA certified roof mounted basketball systems for main competition, side swing units as well as Centre Roll curtains.

The new stadium represents a significant leap forward from the old facilities, and will serve the city well for decades to come.

International Hockey Goal

For years, RMA has supplied Hockey Goals for international tournaments, including events such as World Cups, Champions Trophy, Commonwealth Games and even the Olympic Games, and pioneered for over a decade the introduction of a genuinely robust Aluminium goal in the Hockey community.

Over the last 12 months, we have had further success with the new European designed goal, which has proven to be of the highest standard, but brought the pricing back to rival the steel Hockey goals of the past.

The new aluminium goal doesn’t compromise on design or materials. It still features a custom goal frame extrusion designed to withstand the fiercest strikes, and it still includes the latest free hanging net support that is favoured for high level completion. It still includes the aluminium backboards covered with high impact, shock absorbing rubber and wheels for manoeuvrability.

However unlike before, we now hold stock in Australia so we don’t need to bring them in across the world and can pass on significant savings as a result.
