Synthetic Sports Surfaces

RMA supplies a range of in-situ polyurethane floors for sports halls and multi-purpose centres.

These systems have been available around the world for over 40 years, and are becoming increasingly popular in this part of the world.

Typically installed as a multi layered system with a range of thicknesses, these surfaces offer high levels of shock absorption, sound and thermal insulation, resistance to wear and player comfort.

The polyurethane used in the top surface coats have been specifically formulated to provide maximum strength and resistance, allowing them to extend in some cased up to 200% of their original length. This makes them ideal for use in schools where chairs and tables during exams, and sports equipment at other times can scratch or damage timber systems.

Made largely from recycled rubbers and natural minerals, these systems are among the most environmentally friendly surfaces available, and also provide a substantial cost advantage over timber surfaces.

They continue to benefit owners over their life cycle as they can simply be resurfaced after 10-15 years as required rather than be sanded back until they need to be replaced as is the case with timber. These systems are waterproof, can not sustain a deliberately lit fire, and could last effectively the life of the building.

Prefabricated Systems

RMA also supplies a range of prefabricated sports surfaces. Suited for a fully adhered or loose laid application, systems include natural rubber systems, budget vinyl products, and even timber look alternatives.

Excellent durability & traction.

Intermediate layer spreads the load from the athlete on the surface.

The bottom layer provides additional shock absorption, deflecting under impact.
