Timber Sports Floor Surfaces

Timber sports surfaces continue to dominate the sport facility market in the South Pacific, and RMA can supply a range of quality hardwood sports floors ranging from budget systems through to internationally approved and DIN certified designs. This includes basic area elastic systems, as well as the latest biomechanically designed sprung timber designs.

Systems are available to suit all building constructions such as concrete slab on ground, suspended slab or stump construction, and we have the ability to interchange pad components and timber species used to suit aesthetic, budget and performance requirements. 

RMA can provide both traditional strip timber technology, and innovative engineered timber systems designed to maximise performance with minimal impact on our environmental resources.

Engineered timbers have been available around the world for some 40 years, but are relatively new to the South Pacific. The do however offer some significant life cycle cost advantages given they require no sanding for the first 10-15 years. This saves not only the costs of the servicing, but also keeps the facility operating all year round - with loss of revenue.
