HOCKEY WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
Congratulations to the Kookaburras who were crowned World Men’s Hockey Champions for the second consecutive World Cup in The Hague over the weekend. The Kookaburras capped off a great week for the Australian teams with the Hockeyroos finishing second in the woman’s competition.
The men’s and women’s Black Sticks team also put in creditable performances finishing 7th and 5th respectively.
If you recognised the goals as well, you may have seen them around Australasia as RMA have supplied them over the years to the premier Australian venues including Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Newcastle, Adelaide etc. These aluminium systems were designed in conjunction with the FIH and feature several custom extrusions designed specifically for these goals, and a poured in place backboard to reduce ball rebound. They have in Australia been used for Commonwealth Games and Champions Trophy events.
